2020-08-15 Commemorating the Battle of Warsaw On the 15th August 1920, on the outskirts of Poland’s capital city, a battle took place which thwarted Soviet attempts to spread the Bolshevik revolution throughout western Europe. Edgar D’Abernon, a British politician and diplomat, has claimed that the Battle of Warsaw is one of the 18 most significant battles in human history as Poland’s victory over the Soviets halted the spread of communism further westwards into Europe. 2020-04-30 We are deeply saddened by the news of Colonel Mieczysław Józef Stachiewicz passing. He devoted his life to serving Poland. He was awarded the Order of the White Eagle, the Silver Cross of the Virtuti Militari Military Order, the Knight's Cross of the Order of Polonia Restituta, the Officer's Cross of the Order of Polonia Restituta and three times the Cross of Valor as well as many other medals.
